RIPSAW RECORDS – “The Cutting Edge of Rock ‘n’ Roll” – announces the launch of its renovated website – www.ripsawrecords.com.

RIPSAW, an independent, rip-snorting, roots rock ‘n’ roll and rockabilly label since 1976, has released and internationally licensed critically acclaimed recordings, including those of:

BILLY HANCOCK – Versatile vocalist from Alexandria, Virginia, this late legend’s vocal histrionics fully captured the spirit of everything he did – from rockabilly, rhythm & blues, pop crooning, new wave, soul, folk, and psychedelic – to hot jazz.

TEX RUBINOWITZ – Born in Abilene, Texas, “the Hot Rod Man never moves slow” with his booming, bawdy baritone and the rockabilly rebel Bad Boys backing him up;

MARTI BROM – Born in St. Louis, Missouri, raised in the swamps of Louisiana, and simmered in Austin, Texas, Martí is clearly the 21st century’s Patsy Cline, but with a raunchy rockabilly attitude;

LOUIE SETZER – The Baron of Bluegrass with his “titanium tonsils” is from the slate-mining capital of the world, Wind Gap, Pennsylvania and ‘grasses the best selections on any jukebox – from the hits to the obscure;

BOBBY SMITH – This Chesapeake Bay champion whoops with authentic energy and conviction and slings his bad-ass guitar on every ditty he deigns to do;

THE UPTOWN RHYTHM KINGS – Washington, D.C.’s Jump Blues Giants, featuring Eric “Shoutin’” Sheridan and the Dodge City horns, jump. jive, and wail, wail, wail;

ROY KYLE & NITE LIFE – This Western Kentucky Cat is one heck of a rockabilly singer and git-fiddle player, specializing in hot ‘50’s rockabilly licks;

KAREN COLLINS & THE BACKWOODS BAND – A coal miner’s daughter from Bluefield, West Virginia, singing hard-core honky-tonk country music, Karen is the 21st Century’s Kitty Wells

JIMMY COLE – The Musical Maven of Manassas, Virginia, this proud purveyor of “100 Proof American Blended Music” pours his heart and soul into every one of rough and rowdy songs;

CARL SONNY LEYLAND – Hailing from the U.K., this Barrelhouse and Boogie-Woogie King, bangs the ebony and ivory-keyed box, juicing up all the jivin’ jitterbugs ‘til the rafters shake.

The renovated site includes a survey of Ripsaw’s history, bios and pictures of featured Ripsaw artists, an up-to-date listing of all scheduled gigs of active Ripsaw artists, Ripsaw-relevant news, and, of course, the ability for visitors to buy Ripsaw and related product that remains in stock.

SUSAN MOORE of MOORE GOOD INK (www.mooregoodink.com) created the site.  RAY BOHACZ, “The Hot Rod Farmer” of FARM MACHINERY DIGEST (www.farmmachinerydigest.com), recommended SUSAN, and RIPSAW thanks them both.
